PROJECT MANAGER
AGENCY: SOFAR SOUNDS // PARTNER: REI (via LEADDOG)
Context: The average American spends 95% of their life indoors, and REI wants to help change that. In May 2018, REI inspired folks to get outside with a celebration of music and community in unexpected, outdoor venues. In partnership with Sofar Sounds, REI transformed 6 secret locations with lineups highlighting the cultural and artistic diversity of the host cities: Raleigh, San Francisco, Atlanta, Denver, Chicago and D.C.
Attendees enjoyed yard games and outdoor gear while sipping on complimentary craft beer under the stars. Talent included DC go-go legends Rare Essence, Neyla Pekarek of The Lumineers, and emerging indie darling Lauren Ruth Ward, amongst 15 other incredible artists. Sofar provided music curation and production for a larger event series produced by Leaddog, a partner agency of REI.
My role: As Sofar’s Project Manager, I led 6 local production teams in talent curation, staffing, guest list management, content creation and distribution, marketing comms and scheduling, budgeting and finance, engagement tracking, and reporting. As REI and partner agency Leaddog’s main point of contact, I presented weekly project progress reports for all key stakeholders internal and external.
